for Bama
Ronald
Reagan was criticized for being an actor, implying thereby that he was
unfit to be president. But
he had considerable executive experience, and “surprised” many of
his critics.
Currently,
we have a community organizer. His
surprise? He's an
accomplished actor. Actors
read well, but are very poor ad-libbers, witness his most recent caper,
the beer summit on the White House lawn.
This staged event was caused by an ad-lib about police stupidity,
just his latest case of hoof-in-mouth disease.
Another photo-op in his extended run of staged events.
“Beertime for Bama”.
Imagine
his career in retirement, the star of a TV series “The President”. A
young, minority guy, up from the street, becomes president. Week after week, the big decisions, the travels, and the
speeches of this vibrant man, always dressed perfectly for the occasion
(sleeves rolled up when the occasion requires), always with a
captivating grin. A prime
time hit. And, being scripted, there are no gaffes.
Solving one major problem in each episode, mainly by throwing
money at it. The
grand finale of the series: Berlin!
“Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall”, ending the cold war.
(Or was that another president/actor??)
